Emitted particles do not inherit the color they are born with so I cant make a proper image dissolve. Is it possible to do it with DPkit for example or no?
I also wanted to try this. I laid out points in modeler and turned them into polygons, then I planar UV mapped the point cloud box but I cant drive the points via pfx. Is there any way to convert pfx to mdd?

You may try the Particle Scan plugin from DP Motion Designer pack.

Denis.

Thank you, I will try that.

It is working. If anyone is interested I tell how.
-set up you particle motion
-hit calculate on the dynamics tab (object properties panel)
-save the motion (pfx) (inside dynamics/File tab)
-go to the deformer tab (object properties panel)
-add from the displacement rolldown menu Particle Scan
-select Motion Designer
-choose a name like 'scanmdd'
-unique ID on, create LWO on
-hit start
-now switch off Particle Scan and everything else on the Dynamics tab
-load the newly created LWO
-add displacement MDD_Pointer
-select the mdd you created from the particles a few steps above, the one with the sensible name :)
-close window

-now you should see points doing the same as the emitted particles when you scrub the timeline
-we need UV coordinates so you design your particle motion in a way so right in the beginning they just fill the plane they are emitted from.
Save transformed object under different name when you deem they are all has been born, load it as background layer for 'scanmdd' and click on Bg2Morph, now you can UV it. Heck this is painful. Thx once more Denis.
