View Full Version : Breaking stuff up with Bullet.

Hey,

I recently purchased Lightwave 11, and did my obligatory Bullet test anim. I made a dropping cube shatter on impact.. Because dropping an array of bricks is so last-month.

So anyway... In my tests, I could not get it to work with the fracture'd model with all of the parts in one layer. It was drawing with half of the points pushed off to one side.. Looked bad. I eventually use fracture and had it put each part in a separate layer. That worked. But of course it's a much less elegant solution because I had 100 individual objects to wrangle.

Is that the only way it will work? Or is there a trick to it that I haven't found yet? Thanks!

Did you set your fractured item to be a Parts Body? That worked for me.

Glue too high? Mass too low?

Well I don't rightly know. I am a total newb at this. I will experiment with those settings.

Rendering right now. I'll have to do it tomorrow.
