Not really a big issue or problem, just curious..

I uninstalled the Lightwave 11 prebuild and installed the final release 2238.
Upon doing so, it still recognized the earlier Turbulence fluid plugin and the menu is there and Itīs fully working.

Isnīt that a little strange, somehow the configs must have been intact, I just hope that wonīt be an issue for Lightwave not have been properly installed.

Cheers
Michael

The configs are by default stored outside the install directory and remain after uninstallation. Usually each major release uses the same config filename and locations (but you're wiser to use the -c switch if you want to avoid conflicts imho). So that's why all settings remain. Generally you should not keep running on beta configs as the beta might have extra stuff enabled or work differently. But if it works, why fix it.

Also, uninstallers will only remove the files that it actually installed. So files added to directories, like the LW config files, aren't changed by the installer during uninstall. Same thing with plugins being put inside the lightwave directory will prevent that directory from being deleted by the uninstaller since it still has files in it.
