Just curious how much cooling these need? I plan on running a separate instance of LWSN to push each core to the max. My current case (with older cpu) is a micro atx box. I'm wondering if I would need a liquid cooler for the cpu or if moving up to a mid-tower with lots of fans would work best to control heat?

I wont be overclocking.

ive got the 6 core t1090... temps are great. AMD in my experience always run slightly hotter than intel, but also have a higher tolerance... admittedly I do have a ridiculous 8 inch heatsink sat on mine atm... but any of the higher quality/larger standard coolers should be fine, no liquid cooling needed.

I concur, I bought the 1100 recently and am very pleased. I use the heatsink that comes with and temps never reach more than 65-ish even though the cpu is somewhat overclocked.

sorry yes... 1100T Ive got, not 1090.

I should also have mentioned the MAIN reason I got the stupid big heatsink was for reasons of sound, not cooling. (HUGE fan)
