This is somewhat pointless. What's so nice about real NURBS? They are good for CAD and design, but for most animation stuff SubD's and Polys are far easier to handle. Even though I also use Maya, I rarely can think of anything I would do with them - it's just too annoying. There is always a gap somewhere, you have to fiddle with tesselation etc.. I mostly resort to SubDs and polys. Having said that, I'm sure we'll see some improvement on that front.

you don't really need true nurbs... just something that looks like it... freeze it if you really have to export to another package.

I think Nurbs can be useful only for prototyping issues. it would be good having them however, even if great part of SFX use subpatches, now.

however, you haven't to freeze the object at all, if you worl in Lw.
on the contrary. this generates a large amount of polys.:rolleyes:
