Doesn't look like it. Presumably they couldn't get it working bug free by launch.

I'm hopeful it'll come in an update as Matt posted a wink when I mentioned it in another thread.

Unless he was just flirting with me? (us brits are like that y'know)

Played around with it and was really impressed with the bullet accuracy and speed.

Could it somehow be used to displace skin on a folding arm or similar? Can a bone with follower follow a bullet displacement?

So much to test and play.

It was in the earlier builds yes, and while it did 'work' it didn't work to the level we wanted, so we took the decision to hold off until it did.

It will reappear.

taking some inspiration from this post (http://forums.newtek.com/showpost.php?p=1220250&postcount=21) I had a go at creating a large mesh of interlocking rings with a view to then metalinking a subdivided plane to cheat cloth using bullet hard dynamics. (make sense?)

It actually looked like it might just work but sadly my core2 duo petered out pretty quickly during the calc.

I was told by the developers in another software I have that Bullet doesn't have a cloth simulation, just soft body.

Is that true?

as I understand it bullet soft body covers both soft (as we know it in LW) and cloth also

I've certainly seen bullet demo's including cloth type effects.

Perhaps someone else can clarify this?

that's similar to what I tried but seems to be having the same problem I had which is the links coming apart.

Perhaps fiddling with settings could make this work but I guess for the moment old style LW clothFX is still preferable.

Hopefully NT does deliver bullet soft/cloth before the end of LW11 cycle
