Does hyper threading make any real difference in Lightwave render speed?
Can someone with a 2.4 gig dual quad Mac Pro and a 6 core 3.33 machine render out the Radiosity ReflectiveThings scene for me and give me a render times for both machines? At HD TV 1920 x 1080 resolution? Make sure you switch the multiplier to 100%. Thanks.

Yes it does, turn on all threads you have and it'll render faster.

Yes it does. It's not a true 2:1 but you definitely get a good 20%-30% speed boost. I don't have that scene any more, but in m*d* you definitely see this kind of improvement.

Post #26 "Hunter" 2:28 with HT off & post #47 1:50 with HT on. There is no Radiosity in this scene but it seems fairly typical time wise. With HT on you get about 25% quicker render times.

.....& if you are rendering frames use the old box as a render node with SN, then your frame rate will be even lower.
