I've made a UV map for my model. Now, how do I export it to photshop for painting? I can't find anything about it anywhere. This is what I've got so far:

Use Print Screen and then paste it to the Photoshop.

Or are you looking for something else?

Um, I'm a bit surprised at the lack of automation, but I'll give it a try. Thanks

This is a kind of messy method. After I chopped the rest of the screen away from the screen shot, the image wasn't exactly square. Then after i7ve resized it, it doesn't look so good. Is there any plugin, or some other, more accurate, way to get the UVs into Photoshop?

Yes, look under the file menu and export. You'll see Encapsulated PostScript.

I also use a plug-in called UVImaginator.

But then I also take screen grabs.

Why aren't any of your UV's in the UV guide window?(That's the black grid in the middle of the UV window) You know your image is being placed over your UV guides and not all the way out like you have them ther?. The image just repeats once it gets outside of those guides. You won't be able to paint your UV that way.

Thanks. I worked out that I needed the maps inside the square. That info on exporting the maps was really good. I'll hunt down the plugin you mentioned on Flay.

Thanks again
