Anyone who knows any flv converter wich converts to quicktime mov or avi?

Most of the stuff Ivé come across is supposed to be free when searching but is always a demo.

I can occasionally convert by importing to adobe flash and embedd video and the export out to mov, that works for some, but I got a limit since frames are over 16000 frames.
Adobe cs3 creative suite I got.

I've used MPEG Streamclip from Squared5 to convert FLV files. Adobe Media Encoder I would think could do it too, which should be in the suite.

adobe media encoder should do it.....that being said I have encountered lots of flash files that it cant....
if not try this
http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

it looks cheap(it's free), but it is my go to converter when others fail....I have the entire adobe suite, badaboom, quicktime pro ect ect....and quite often this is the only program that can deal with certain problems

Tried that, now called foxtab video converter, first I tried avi, without changing and settings, and it works, but the quality is way much worse than the flv file, useless.

I tried mov,mpg etc..but they all seem to fail.

Thanks erikals..this seems to be the one that works best, tested on flv clips of aeroplane crashes, converted set to mp4 format gives a good quality conversion, and there´s a lot of other formats too.
And it´s a nice UI and also in swedish.

Just noticed that vlc has built in converters but..that didn´t work out directly when I tested, so why bother

Thanks again very much:thumbsup:
Ohh..I hope this program doesn´t stop working in time as a demo, and I have to figure out how to remove the annoying .."do you want to get professional commercial!"

OK yeah I've had hit and miss with MPEG Streamclip and YouTube. I guess Adobe Media encoder is part of the production suite. I only have AE and it comes with that.

You can convert in recent versions of Real Player under Tools/Real Player Converter.

You can convert to .wmv and H264 among others but not strickly .avi or .mov. Just depends on what you want to do. You may not need avi or mov and H264 might work just fine.

For the stuff that doesn't matter if it's sent to a random website, use this place! It's freakin' brilliant!!! Also can be used to convert tonnes of other files... and it's sooo quick!

WinFF is a GUI for the command line video converter, FFMPEG. FFmpeg is a complete, cross-platform solution to record, convert and stream audio and video. It includes libavcodec - the leading audio/video codec library.
Or for mac here: http://www.ilikemall.com/how-to/convert-flv-to-mov-mac.html

Any video converter free version is great. Can convert to multiple formats, from many formats with choices as to output format, size, etc in video and audio.
