Hi all,

Is there a way to render the polyflow of the lowres mesh on the subdivided geometry, something like the picture (not my model btw) but then through the renderer? If you use render lines in LW it will render the lines of all polygons of the subdivided model, not something I want.
Maybe there is a shader for it or a plug-in?

you can use polygon coloring plugin (for modeler) to prepare model and then it'll work.

You can also EPS export a well relaxed UV (I used SubD compensation in a seamfull UV and a square to frame the UV) and then let a vector package line it and export an image map.
This way the line will fell less display and more integrated with the model (thickness is not screen related and color can be shaded). Using this method also gives you something to use with shaders. It is not very flexible nor 100% accurate and requires some work, though.

Cheers

Thanks Probiner. Yeah I did this kind of workflow for other models, render a stamp from UV Layout and use that as a texture, but then I have to make a UV set for every object This is do-able but still a lot of work, and you get different thickness of lines for different object (which might be an advantage though).

A simple shader would be good, the option to render only the low-res lines in LW would be even better, but this plug-in is a nice workflow advancement :)

I totally agree with you, a shader would be mostly apreciated to skip all this faff.
Pitty DP_Edge doesn't allow you to constrain only to the SubD cage or a specific set of edges.
