View Full Version : Concept Sci-Fi Tricycle

02-05-2012, 10:36 AM
A futuristic motor tricycle, from a simple 5 minutes sketch i've made, modeled and rendered in just a couple of days, while I'm waiting at home for this snow to melt... :) .

No external retouches, only exposure directly in Image Viewer.

Comments, crits and advices to further improvements are all welcome!

Bye bye

This is cool! Maybe red or black ? And you could put some design on that, like flames or something..

Relating to the making of the tire tread, i've downloaded a free plugin from DStorm, trailer, that bends an object along a curve. However I can't use it: LW10.1 see the plugin, BUT not the menu config nor the key shortcut config! How can I do? It works with LW10.1 win32? Or I must use the mac version on My Macbook? OR, there is another free plugin that does the same thing (so i can add some nice writings along the side of the wheels ;) ).
Thanks and Bye Bye

You need to use the version for whatever version of LW you're using.
32bit version for 32bit LW
64bit version for 64bit LW
mac version for mac LW

Yes, I'm using 32 bit version with LW 10.1 win32, but I can't find a "trailer" entry in the "menu config"! how can I do?

02-09-2012, 03:36 PM
Oh, it's accessed under the Object Properties>Deform>Add Displacement area.

Thanks a lot!
Sure, it is a "displacement" plugin... I must have worked too much today, to make such a confusion...

Coming back to the model, yes, it seems the "adult" big wheel, but, I swear, I haven't seen it before ;) also because here in Italy sadly the big wheel is strangely absent... our tricycles toys are ugly at least, fortunately when babies grows up they often rides a Ducati motorcycle... :D

Ok, new chrome reflexes, slightly reflective tires, and over all, writings on the tires (with coherent codes!) rear mirrors and leg support/handles.
Waiting for replies.
Hope You all enjoy.

Looks great! Love the tires :D
Only think im not to sure about is the rear Lights, they loo a bit funny. maybe a bit more red in the bottom two (colour) and the top one orange (indicator)

Again, great work! :)
