my latest update on hypervoxels:


This is the most I can squeeze out of hypervoxels so enjoy while it's hot!

Well, if that's the most you can squeeze out of HV, I'm very impressed however hard it was. Looks like it must have been a challenge, but the result is pretty lovely! :D

Nice work!... and would love to know how long you've been working hard using hypervoxels? Stuff like this takes a lot of know-how and dedication! :D

better than the first one, but still needs more pronounced flames I think.
perhaps some more smothing within the flames.

Hey bazsa73..why donīt you check out turbulence fluids a little more?
Pricing issue? or something else?
Have you even tried the demo versions?

Sure can be fun to tweak around with voxels and to check how far you can push it etc..but I donīt think I will go back to my old stuff for fire with voxels.
Takes to much time to tweak and in the end you come up with semi realistic fire mostly..unless endless tweaking and post processing.
Using it for rocket smoke or aeroplane smoke might do thou.

Samples attached..basic torch scene wich is included, but I changed density dissipation and changed opacity values for more incandescent look.

my own basic explosion setup ..pretty basic.
Great with the new gpu simulation support for much faster simulations.

I guess I have to do that sooner or later, but first I try blender. I studied a blender tut already, but that software is way too "straaange"

Yeah I tried to figure blender out too..but realized that I didnīt want to work within that environment, In fact ..I would rather work with Houdini lite versions than blender..even thou houdini might be considered the most hardest to learn.

You can just download the demo version of turbulence and give it a go...no time limit or function limit except for watermark.
for several reasons I still havenīt bought in to turbulence yet..had some issues always when a new version showed up, but I think Itīs about time soon.
I will just test it a little more thou with lw 11 to ensure how it works.

Question is if blender fluids ( smoke & fire) is better than turbulence?
blender fluids for liquids has the upper hand, but that is planned for turbulence later on.

adding blender as a toolset would probably distract to much from lw work
for me.

I thought blender was pretty quick to get to grips with. And I'm a Luddite on these matters.

That said, being able to do it with vanilla lw is the cake.
To that end, this example is MOST APPRECIATED!

Wow, love the very first look in the first video. It's like a grainy, hyper-fire. Very stylized and believable as a power that creature would have.

I bet the tweaking, rendering, and waiting took a while.

So download the file, play with it, try out different hypertextures and scales, frequencies, effect speeds.

I bet the tweaking, rendering, and waiting took a while.

Actually it rendered pretty quickly but tweaking in After Effects took a while.
I usually build up my comp during rendertime because I just cant wait the render to be finished:D. So I try out different tweakings and blendings but tried to remain withing the boundaries.
I used CCtoner for colour remapping, I didnt fiddle with colors inside LW.
I exported RLA so I had enough space to play with.
