Anyone knows if it is possible to model objects and maps for Battlefield 1942 with LW ? They use Max in their tutorials.

My brother Ken and some other visual effects people did a quick mod in their free time, and they use LW - so I know it's possible, in theory...

Yes you can model in LW easily. It's the import exporting of the proper Battlefield files that's important. For that, all you need to do is grab Milkshape 3D. Import your Lightwave file into Milkshape and export it out as a Battlefield file. I used to work for EA and I was on the Battlefield test team and helped design BattleCraft. Used to import/export all the time :)
