View Full Version : Changing direction of raytraced vector?

I used to use the old air poly trick prior to lightwave 10 to not produce glass but simply to change the direction of a ray travelling through it.

I have used dielectic materials but they do not do what I require, but I need a solution for what im doing to make the old system work in side of LightWave 10.

What I need is a flat plane that occupies the same space where the ray entering is redirected in a direction of chosing coming out the otherside. No effects, no real glass, just a change in direction of a traced vector.

Any ideas?

Many thanx

you can use the same trick, but turn on exclude from vstack for the surface.
