Here is a first test performed in zbrush and rendered in lightwave. I did not know I was going or sculpting the shape appeared gradually, I think this is part of a "zbrush principle." That is why all seems a bit odd, especially the cap.

This is endlessly fascinating to look at. I don't know what he is exactly but he is a very interesting study. I am right on the cusp of purchasing ZBrush, this is helping me get closer to making a decision.

How was the hair accomplished?

This is great! I like the facial expressions. Is that swimming cap on his head?

That is fascinating! Some amazing details-the mouth area is fantastic.
The nose and ears look like that of a burns victim.

It's only the cap I can't really get my head around but as a study, this is just genius!

actually I started by creating a character more like a super hero. And then I realized that my character look more like a lifeguard who traumatized me as a kid.

Yep it's a swimmin cap-mask, an unusual model :-)

Regarding the hair, I added some weight map for the density / length and distribution of FiberFx hair

Great, now I get to see if I get fired or not because you have an obscenity in your site name that has flagged my user ID to the IT department of the company I work for. Our company has a "zero tolerance" policy for misuse of the internet and I'm pretty sure they aren't going to bother going to a site with the words "f!stf#cking" in the name to see if it is really porn or not.

Ouch, collateral damages.
I hope that in the analysis of their logs, your big brother will make the difference between referral links and keywords entered in a search engine.
I also hope that he tolerates visiting website dedicated to 3D.
However and I admit, I doubt that your company appreciates the humor impaired which is mine.

Just a quick one... ru using Lightwave 11 and go Z? in the case u are not, did u have any troubles gettin the 100% of the sculpted detail from ZBrush to Lightwave 10?

Hi inakito and thanx for comment,
For my part I did not use Lightwave 11.
I have tried to use the displacement map + node without success.

So I used decimation master in zbrush (9 Mpoly original file) and export an .obj of 2 Mpoly (and one which I used a 300 Kpoly object as a proxy for establishing camera view, light, texture etc.)
I must say that Lightwave handles quite respectably this kind of file.

I still quite eager to discover goZ

Thanks for the quick replay. I am also finding difficult to translate the fine detail from Zbrush into Lightwave using the technique you referring to on youtube, as it is not 100% accurate. It works ok and lets say it does the job, but im looking for a better solution on that...
I am going to try using decimation master and let you know how it goes...
