View Full Version : Updating collision objects in OSX

I have a problem with a collision object in OS X. Basically if I change the behaviour from say, 'Stick' to "Bounce' and then re-run the 'Start' preview I still get a 'Stick'. My particles are not updating. This does not happen in Os9, but I don't really want to be switching into 9 everytime something odd happens. Does anybody know a way of updating the collision controls in Os X?

You aren't saving your particle motions are you? If you did, you need to release the particles (FX_Property, File tab, Clear Motion).

Saying that, I've had difficulty with collision working consistently. What usually works for me is to remove the FX_Collision, save the scene, reload, apply the Collision with the different settings, and the run/preview the particles. That works for me if the Collision won't update it's behavior.

Thanks! I'll try the remove/reload idea. 'Clearing' the motion also works a lot of time aswell. 'FXstart' doesn't work at all in X.....
