Speed Modelling Challenge #151 Little Monster Did It!
*************************************************
Rules:

1. Every week there will be a subject for you to model along with a time limit. You should spend no longer than the allocated time, then post a render of your model. As in most challenges like this, your honesty on modeling times is essential. How you interpret the brief is up to you as long as the final model conforms to what is asked for.
2. Post a wire-frame and a render at 800x600 or larger.
3. LightWave must be used for modeling. 3rd party Plug ins are allowed.
4. You can enter as many times as you like, posting each in this thread. If you run over the time, the model can still be posted but won't be subject to the judging.
5. Time spent on texturing, setting up a scene for a render and rendering is not included in the allocated period.
*************************************************

This week's topic is: Little Monster Did It! Release your inner Tim Burton or Richard Yot (http://www.itchy-animation.co.uk/portfolio.html)
Let your imagination go wild and show us what used to live under your bed!

Time Limit - 60 minutes

Deadline: Wed. 21st December 2011. 22:00 G.M.T.

Thanks. It's a cheap trick but it needed the detail to make the teeth look right. :)

Love your texturing Swampy. Its really incredible what you can do inside lightwave with just procedurals and gradients!

Shhhhh. Don't tell everyone! ;D

Thanks. I love playing around with the textures, it's soooooo much better now we have vpr. Just waiting for per-pixel displacement now.

Cheers.

i made a small turntable of my monster. Its not a full 360, because backside was completely ignored while modeling and looks awful.

Dang! What a load of creative monsters. The entries are all so..."beautiful".

I made it under an hour this time, but I had to start over to make it. (And that doesn't include the rigging.)

Mine is "Lil Blobby". He's sad because he used to be helpful. But, now, most cans are self-opening.

Really high standard throughout for this week.
Some cracking models and renders but...........

The winner is xswampyx with his spherical monster with the unfeasably large tongue.
Love that wireframe
