Is it possible to drag & drop images to node editor ?

Will we train ourselves out of trying to double-click the operation? Doubt it.

The last point, coupled with waiting for it to happen, are the things that make me cringe right now. It is a given, base on the oses, based on modern-day expectations, based on offering upscale software -- that this list given, when clicked upon will place this thingy on the canvas.

Yet we can't.

Whatever you are smoking you should quit hehe... and incase you didn't get it I think this fella is telling you to try it out yourself before asking. If it doesn't work then it doesn't work. =) However, you can add an image node, and load up any image to that image node and plug it into color or diffuse.
