View Full Version : antialiasing my z buffer

Can anyone tell me if there is any way of antialiasing the z depth buffer saved out with the extended rpf exporter. I'm doing an anim composited in DXF and wanted to use the depth blur tool which is cool but when I look at my z buffer it is jaggy :( . When the blur is applied it leaves nasty edges as it is obviously not blurring the edge pixels correctly. The only workaround I can think of is to render double size and scale the images down which would create prohibitively long render times. I've heard that you should turn off adaptive sampling when using rpf as some pixels are missed in the buffer calculation, but even with this turned off I am having no joy. I must be missing something, otherwise whats the point of this tool if you can only use it on jaggy images.

Thanks in advance
