I've had a plan brewing of setting up a site to sell my models, but I'm wondering if I should just sell through something like Turbosquid. I'm wondering if anyone is using a vendor like that to sell models and if it is working out for you. The thing that concerns me is the sales commission and product exclusivity that a 3rd party would take. But if my worries are unfounded I'd like to know.

Take a look at http://www.the3dstudio.com. Better rates, no exclusivity needed, and you can create your own site and link to it to act as a store (getting an even bigger chunk of the commission). TS takes WAY too high of a percent, in my opinion.

Thanks for the heads up.

Other than 3dmax, maya, c4d, obj, 3ds, fbx, the other formats have very low selling value.

Yes, making all the conversions will be interesting but obviously in my best interests. Thanks for the link, I'll look at it now.
