View Full Version : Collada export - UV's missing?

Hi All,

I'm trying all I can to get animation from Lightwave to Blender, with varying degrees of success.

I have tried the LW10.1 fbx exporter which seems to work great, but there is no fbx import option for Blender right now. I then tried to convert that fbx file to collada using Autodesks fbx converter, but that seems to have its own issues when loaded into Blender (missing animation and heirarchy screwed up).

This brings me to exporting collada directly from LW.

I loaded the collada into Blender and voila!..all the animation is there and its all looking good.

However, only some of my objects still have their UV's.

Does anyone know why this would be happening? What makes a UV come thru in a collada file?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I seem to have worked it out...

Some of my objects had an image mapped to the transparency channel.

I removed that and it seems to have fixed things.
