just noticed the headlight button in Layout.What is it's use?Is it just for a work light? Couldn't find it in the manual.

Yes, it is just a worklight so you can see your objects in openGL if your lights aren't lighting them up enough.

(for example you have a large scene and the lights in the area where you are working are not effecting openGL, or if you are using all GI and your light is turned off)

It places uniform lighting over the objects in your scene so that you can see them independent of lighting or camera angle.

I use the headlight all the time mainly to see textures better in open gl especially if there isn't much light in the scene. It's a simple feature but it comes in extremely handy. :thumbsup:

I have made plugin Headlight doing the same, but also visible in render/VPR, if you don't turn it off. You can pick up f.e. Area light, and set wanted intensity. You can download it from http://www.trueart.pl
