View Full Version : Bone Morph help?

Ok, heres my problem. 7.5c

I am setting up a complex character, lots of IK and lots of conditional morphs.....but I CANT get the morphs to read the bones rotations due to IK.
I can set Motion Baker on all the bones driving morphs but that causes my undo's to die and my previews to go wacky.

So any help would be appreciated , hopefully I am just a moron and theres a easy fix (crosses fingers like a catholic boy entering the confession booth:p

Donīt set baker on the original item.

Make a Null follow(er) your bones rotation with "After IK" enabled. Now you can bake with "Overwrite" enabled) the Nulls rotation and use that as a target for expressions.

Good for musclebones, too.

only problem with that set up is
A: you lose any and all undos
B: I get crashes if i try and preview the animation

So i guess I can disable the Baker til animation is done, then do a run up with is enabled , disable again, then preview.

I was really hoping I wouldnt have to hack my way through this,
but crap in one hand, wish in another and see what happens.
