Hi Folks,

I'm trying to texture a stylised horse model (a SubD mesh), up until now I've been using Planar projection to texturemap the eyes - being a horse the eye's are on the sides of the head so the texture passes through the model and is applied to both sides at once.

However I'm now trying to model the body of the beast, so I want to be able to shift the head about while I tweak things and have the texture stay put. I've made a set of UVs off of the side projection but using them creates significant distortion of the texturing.

Currently it looks like I'll either have to freeze the model or stick to planar projection and just keep updating the projection as required.

So what I was hoping you folks could let me know is - Is there a way to keep the model as SubD's and have the texture applied using UV mapping without the distortion?
