View Full Version : Making objects in a scene not affecting anything ?

why are objects that are unchecked in A column in scene editor evaluated during rendering ?

I have scene with a house and many high poly trees. When I want to speed up working on a house I uncheck all trees and make them invisible to OpenGL but stil when F9 rendering LW shows messages in the render window that it is moving those objects into world space and calculating their normals which is taking time and also this part is single threaded.

good idea for optimization.
in some cases these unchecked objects could affect others with nodes... but i'm sure optimization would be possible.
