Before sending back our machine for repair I want to check shortly here:
On our 3Play 820 all is fine - except that no network connection is recognised. When plugging in a cable it stays "network cable is unplugged".

The Windows Device Manager show no errors at Network adapter. Network Drivers are up-to-date. The inside hardware diagnostics (EEPROM test, FIFO test, register test, Loopback test) are successful whilst the cable and connection tests are telling that adapter has no link - like no cable is attached.

Needless to mention that we tried with several different cables and made cross checks with other computers that cables and network itself are working.

Anyone an idea?

About all that comes to mind is a restore operation, but it sounds like a motherboard issue. :(
