brilliant, really great.

maybe the child could have some stubble of hair on his head, or does he have cancer:confused:

My only crit is the fact that the little is bald...(shouldn't he be blond or something, like a classic cherub?)

Or maybe not, great atmos alltogether though...

That's a really frightening image.

I agree with the hair comment - it would be more horrific the cuter the kid is like if it had those cherub ringlets or something.

You know your stuff is good when people want to see wireframes :)

I absolutely love it!

for a more dramatic effect, needs more wind in the curtains, after all he is on the top floors on the building

as for the child, nothing wrong with no hair, as someone mention maybe he does have a terminally disease, either way it makes you think about stuff.

If he has a terminal disease then you don't feel as bad about him jumping out a window.

Great model! Very nice texturing!

Doesn't look real but i really like your beautiful styles.

I think it add rubbish like papers or cans on your floor maybe help you to look more scary and beautiful but just only my opinion.

Anyway, it looks great :). Thanks for showing the wireframes.

P.S. Sorry about my bad english.

very very cool . . . if i might inquire, in the wires i see that your wall and floor surfaces are subdivided and jittered or whatever. what does this technique do? is it a texturing thing? just curious.

Just to give some variation in, I didn't something clean.
Here's a version with a more heavy wind, and adding some details here and there.

and thanks for you replies everyone ;)

awesome!

I'm torned between the curtains tho... I like the translucent one but on the other hand the patterned one was easier to see... either way cool work!

Wow, that last one is really great! I think that the kid, wings, floor, walls, curtain, everything! look much improved from the first version.

But do you think that it might look better if the curtain was being blown in instead of blown out?

Amazing work, very cool!

Beautiful image. The curtain blowing out is perfect, well observed. Reminds me of Gillian's 'Brazil'. The shaved head is great and frankly is key to making the image an immotive one. Resist adding anything more angelic such as heavenly light etc, the wings are enough. Also, resist adding any objects or clutter to the room, again its already spot on. If this is your original idea, well done, very powerful as an image whether computerised or not.

I agree. This final (if it is?) is definately the one. The curtain looks great with the transparency and extra movement.

Whoa,
nice work

It is very compelling.

I see a beauty to the work while also fearing a disturbing quility to it.

A good combination for art that is memorable.

I do not mean to interpret anything you may have meant by the image.

Only to reflect my initial impression.

Keep up the good work :D

Sir, In my humble opinion, you've lost what made that first image so compelling. There was a certain melancholy and dreamy innocence to it, which went perfectly with the overall feel of the piece! Go back, I say!

You did well to increase the artificial look of the wings.
On the first picture, I thought the character was a "real" cherub about to fly away and not a kid with a pair of cardboard wings about to crash 25 floors below.
Anyway, great idea and composition, the sense of height is amazing. A one picture story. You don't see that many of those around here.

Wow, it just keeps getting better. I'll echo that the cardboard wings are more decernable in the newer version. Have you thought of posting to the RAPH gallery? I think that LW is under-represented there.
