Hi, I wondered why NT didnt incorporate some realtime tools. There was (is) one plugin called rt_smscale which does what it says: smooth scale in realtime with viewport feedback. It works with 7.5, but unfortunately not so well in 9.x. Does anybody know if there is a new or alternative tool to do this in realtime ?

Thanks.

Smooth Scale is a move-points-along-their-respective-normals-function with a phony out-of-date name. You now have that functionality in the Point Normal Move Tool.

Whaaaa? You know, I did not know about the Point Normal Move tool. I've been using Modo when I needed to do this, or falling back onto Smooth Scale if I was feeling too lazy to pop into another app.

Thanks for the tip! :)

there is also Move Plus (under modify), which works like move with the left mouse button, but will move selected geometry along its normals if you right-click and drag.

(oh, and in case you want to map it to a key or something, it's called Translate in the key editor tool list, just to make life more interesting) :/
