Hi,

I have created an array of discs that I am going to rail extrude along a path. I would like to add a twist to the "tubes" that the extrusion of discs will create. The effect would be a spiral of tubes following a path.

Is there any way that I can do this with rail extrude?

Thanks

Do a search for rail on this site. One of those entries probably does what you want.

The other option would be to do a rail down a straight line, then twist the object. Then bend it into place in Modeler or with bones in Layout.

Pictrix CWorm I think it what you need.

Though it is a shareware plugin, that said, dirt cheap and excellent.

try pictrix bezier curve...Itīs free, only 32 bit thou.

Se twist sample here..

You can also select two or more polys on the object and extend and then twist, the twist operation is built in the plugin, this is most certain for you.

Note..you can create predefined paths and save out within px_bezier.

Thank you all for the suggestions. PC Worm is probably adequate for my needs. However, if PX-Bezier will work with LW 8, it looks pretty hip!
