dpont's pipes texture,

I have run into a problem with the pipes texture and haven't been able to figure it out. essentially it's not showing up in the bump channel. with nodes or layered. works fine in color. and funny enough works fine in vpr and fprime, but f9 renders it doesn't show up. I've attached a scene that shows what I'm talking about.

Thanks for the help,
Chris

as an additional note, the nodes bump doesn't show up in vpr, color does. if you open the scene I left the nodes wrong, just change it to 50k for the scale to match the layered one. I can do a color to normalize and plug that into the bump and it shows up,

lots of fun :)

What light do you use?
I you use GI and dont enable GI-bump you will not see anything..

In RmanCollect,
Bump amount is not re-scaled internally with the Scaling of the texture,
at least you could adjust it manually in the nodal version,
it should be indeed done internally for respecting stretching.
I guess that for the texture version you will get
the same problem than in your other thread,
I don't think that I couldn't fix it.

Denis.

I fixed both texture and nodal issues with bump mapping
in RmanCollect and RmanNodeCollect, win32 version yet.
Bump with all procedurals like Pipe should be rendered correctly
even with huge scaling values.
