is this possible?

i know target to camera works,
but i want to target to the perspective "camera"... is there any way to do this?..

i'm trying to fake simple Messiah Armatures (http://www.projectmessiah.com/x6/vids/Armatures_A.wmv) in Lightwave for CA...

it's very possible the hack might just work, but i need to be able to target to the perspective camera...

You could use PViewMC to make a camera that matches the Perspective view. Then target that camera.

Or use Jeremy Hardin's Make Ortho Camera to do the same thing. His website is gone but it's been archived via Wayback Machine.

Oh, just read more of your post. I don't think this'll help you do what you want ultimately. This is more of a one-off setup.

nope :]

unfortunately it won't work because of the way selections in LW work.
thanks though :]

...i guess it would have to be a script or so that tracks the perspective "cam" position by using a null.
but never heard of this...

i might ask some scripters if it's doable...

Dont believe so, because in LW perspective isnt actually a camera, at least not the way it is in other apps.

I spose it could be a camera, hidden away, under the hood, but Id be very surprised if there were any way to get access to any of it parameters in the fashion you're after.

Updated PViewMC by MSherak's request to make it work with 11.5. The link (http://forums.newtek.com/showthread.php?98790-make-camera-keyframe-what-I-see-in-perspective-view&p=1324371&viewfull=1#post1324371).
