I've created a small set of macros for Digital Fusion / DFX+ that simplifies the process of setting up multipass lighting.

Here's a teaser..

Size : >400k Format : Quicktime
Run your screen at least 1280x1024 to see it all

More coming, soon....

Okay dudes and dudettes. Here's what I'm going to do...

I have a page I'm working on that will explain this. The webpage isn't done.

But I'll put the URL here anyway...

THE PAGE ISN'T DONE...

You can, however, go to the unfinished page and DL the macros and see the half sentences are pictures with no explanation and gaping spaces...

DL the macros, try to figure them out, and feel free to revisit the page throughout the day as I keep working on it...

Sweet. :D
I am currently reading through Jeremy Birn's book right now, so this is relevant for me. :)
And I got DFX+ a couple weeks ago when I got 7.5. Haven't installed it yet though; I suppose that would probably be a good idea.

Yep!

What the macro does is combine...

One black background + 4 merges in Additive (called Screen) mode

And gives you all the controls in one place....

Thanks Lee, for this and for the previous tutorials you posted.
Thanks also to Splinegod for his contributions in these matters as well.

Regarding these macros, if only LW would allow to output Occlusion passes ..... (sigh) ....

cheers
