Hi

Im making an animated particle stream and i need it to light up
in a dark environment. Lots of luminosity.
It is made with sprite HV.
In short i want to see my voxels light up in a scene with no light sources.

The only way i can make it work it seems, is to dedicate a light source
to the voxels and then exclude this light from all other objects but thats
not really an option.

Any ideas ? thanks.

thanks

EXACTLY like that. And i must thank you for the swift and precise reply.
Unfortunately i can't see any difference in your setup versus mine
that would affect the voxels....

My voxels only light up when hit directly by a lightsource.

EDIT: in the Viper window it looks right

Problem solved...somehow.

I deactivated the voxels for the emitter and the re-activated them.
Still no visible particles. I cranked the Lum. to 5000% and then they showed.
Then i set the Lum. back to 100 and they showed beautifully !??!
Flying through that Z axis in all shades of darkness.

I am not saying it's not a user error but these things are definitely contributing to shorten my life :)

Thanks to XswampyX - even though you didn't give me a direct solution i could at least see that my scene setup was correct.
