Cool to hear that Tofu is still kicking.

Is Tofu News going to be ramping up as we head into the future?

Good article. the thing that caught my eye was the 3d printing. If you don't mind me asking William, how much did it set you back? The reason I ask is no 3d printing sites seem to want to list prices, I would assume it does vary model to model, but did you have to do a minimum run? Or was it ok to do one?

We have all sorts of things planned. We need to sell the remaining units in the warehouse to move forward on some of the bigger things we want to do with Tofu.

I used to Use 3D art to part for all my prints.... now I work with Varner studios for everything.

Depending on the material the prints can run you $50 to 500.00 and up.

Manufacturing a toy is a whole other story. Prepare to take a hit in the wallet for that one.

That is awesome news William. I wish I knew about the article last week as I was talking about Tofu here at C.U. Mainly because of the 'Boulder' Vegan mentality and its (at least on campus) love for zombies I'm surprised no-one had heard of Tofu. So I had to give them an intro and they LOVED him!!!!

Now to go and read the article. Congrats and keep Tofu rolling!!

Thanks guys... Tofu has been a massive investment and any and all support is very much appreciated. I would love to see Tofu make it to the next level.... soon... soon.

That looks great - congrats. I'm in pre-production phase of an animated series, and getting it off the ground takes so much work, so I can relate.

Quality-wise the open source RepRap printer now outperforms commercial solutions, it seems:

Good read. And while I'm quite frankly not a fan of the Tofu universe, I like the holistic approach to the production, ie. thinking beyond the short film. A good inspiration.
