Hi guys, Just wondering if you can tell me how to make a diamond knurl using real geometry. I figured out a square knurl, but I need the geometry on diagonals to make a diamond knurl. Any thoughts?

Not sure I understood exactly what you are after but if I did.. I would start using a subdivided plane, rotate it 45 %, cut it to form a strip, bend the strip to form a ring, bevel the thinngies..

This is what I'm talking about. A diamond knurl.

That is what I meant prety much. I would have done the original subdivided plane differently (as described above) but we would have ended up with the same thing. Swampy's method is very clean, I like it.
