I would like to do an 3-D animation of a character with a transparent background to put on a photo or on my website, I used to do it way back in the Toaster days, but forgotten how to achieve it, and since there is lightwave 9.6, it might be different to accomblish it? I believe I have to use TGA files, but not sure how to go about doing it. I can make a frame with a tranparent background using TGA then go to photoshop and save it as a GIF file, but not sure how to do a animation of frames...please help

Choose the TGA32 or PNG32 option. In the Render Globals window you can set up an output path for your frames. Then hit F10.

To me it sounds like you're doing a F9 render and saving out the image from the viewer.

I think photoshop needs unpremultiplied png, tga from lightwave if you will use it to combine frames into animation in photoshop. Check the edges closely.
