I am making a couch and need a tutorial on creating a good cloth texture. I want a weaved type fabric like a 70's or 80's couch. Need to also apply it to the cushions arm rests and so on.

It will be a high resolution render so detail is important.

Thanks!

The easiest way to approach this is getting a good, tileable fabric texture and cubic mapping it to the model as a base. Depending on the quality you need however, creating large custom textures with UV mapping may be required.
Sofa arms can benefit from the main sofa texture being altered slightly just to randomise things and fool the eye. Throwing a larger scale bump or diffuse texture over the base also helps achieve this.

After that, it all depends on the look you want. LW's old fabric presets have some really good, diffuse gradient settings but sometimes just a little bump will do the trick.
