Anyone know if there's a way to create an explosion of Particles that will reach a certain diameter, then cycle 'in place'?

Turned out the job I needed done is handled fine by a lens flare, but I started out trying to make this happen with particles so I'm curious if there's some 'simple' solution. Or would it come down to balancing the particles between multiple wind emitters or something...

Not sure what 'cycle in place' means, but a donut wind maybe?- 98042

Like a glowing sun, for example. A sphere of particles hanging in mid air, but at the same time moving around. Their movement defines the volume of the sphere.

A collision sphere with 'inside' checked to contain the particles, and a random wind.

But a roiling sun effect could be done more easily with one sprite/voxel.
