View Full Version : Endomorph Surfaces

I'm using LW 8.5 and have a project with a big set of Endomorphs already built. Now the client wants to have some of the surfaces change between morph targets. This is easy enough with the old morph between objects technique, but how is it done with endomorphs?

If you use nodes you can easily blend two surfaces. And if you plug the morphs value into a mixer node you can blend the surface automatically when you adjust the morph slider.

I've never used nodes, can you point to a reference on how to manage them?

Update: I guess you mean the nodes in the graph editor? Does LW 8.5 have the channel mixer nodes that you are referring to? I checked in the scene and I don't see a "surfaces" channel. So, I guess I'm still confused ;-)

I'm a nodes noob myself BUT, fwiw:

I think they mean, recreate the two surfaces using the Layers node (which is IIRC just like the Surface Editor), then tie a mixer node to the morph envelope using expressions or channel follower so the change is automagic.
