i don't know what i'm doing wrong here. can someone explain this function to me a little more. i ran the tut in the manual, but it didn't work.:confused:

try these settings

can't figure out what "Controller range" does, just use those figures. The Run_Master_Null is what's being animated across the floor, and 'forward progress' is what makes this bone go thru it's cycle, which has keyframes through frame 32. Copy and paste this modifier to every bone in the walk - cycle.

Controller range is an offset. I think it's percentage, 0.0-1.0. If you were to set it to something like 0.0 - 0.5 it would cycle the motion twice in the frameset, so a 30 frame cycle would play twice in 30 frames, 1-15/16-30. This can work well with offsets, where you use 0.0-0.5, 0.3-0.8 and so forth. The example I learned this on was a walking spider (Lightwave 6.5 Magic) where the legs all used the same 24 frames for setup, but the Controller Range offset each leg so they moved at different times, based on the range settings.
