Hi all,

Been so busy... but here is a fun project we have worked on few months ago...

It's a Cartoon environment that was built for a popular TV show in the UAE & the GCC, The environment represents a story of a few characters in a suburb in Dubai, You can clearly see the stylized skyline of busy Dubai in the back ground.

The entire project was built in about 20 days, very low poly count.

Big thanks to the M-studios Team-!!

Hope you enjoy...

I have consistently admired and appreciated your work. This is a fun direction as the whimsy and humor of the shapes bring a smile to my lips. They are fun to look at before any characters are included. I enjoyed the distinctly "middle-eastern" feel to the urban landscape. Good touches include the choice about what gets exaggerated and "bent." It feels alive and playful, before anything has happened. Quite the accomplishment. Well done!

Oh, Khalid, you dazzle and amaze. These later ones have a fine line cartoon-like edging, that I appreciate immensely. Do you model the structures "warped" or use a "lattice" like deformation. The color, both day and night, are an excellent palette. I really enjoy the edge treatment. Is that native Lightwave or something else?? Thanks for sharing.

Khalid,

This is fantastic! The buildings look like they're drooping from the heat. :)

Keep up the wonderful work!

Cool, love the buildings, especially Burj Khalifa and the Emirates towers. One thing, though, night shot where you see two cottages and Burj al Arab in the background, Burj is other way around, you'd have to be on the sea in order to see it that way.

Other than that, great!

Very impressive.... Ever considered turning this into a game environment? Cartoon is nice, but having it interactive would put this piece over the top.
