Has anyone installed Windows-7 64bit Ultimate on Mac pro OS 10.6.8?

I can get the installation to start and select the Boot camp drive, format it..then windows says it cant install on the drive. Searched on Apple site, but that was not helpful.

Any help, links, etc would be helpful.

Thanks

I haven't had Boot Camp on board for a while... but if you keep refining the search you'll eventually find the answer on one mac forum or other.

This seems like a start?

"Can't install on the drive" sounds most likely because you haven't partitioned enough space? My guess is you'd need at least a few hundred GB.

haha...499gb should be plenty

I had a problem on my macbookpro where it installed win7 64 (enterprise), but then i couldn't install the 64bit bootcamp drivers, it said my hardware was incompatible. This on a 9 month old laptop .. a joke. I now run 32 bit.
