View Full Version : Triangulate... but for Quads

I have several ngons that I would like to convert to Quads. With Shift + T I can triangulate the mesh, but for the moment I'd prefer to just convert it to quads. I've searched, but haven't been able to find any good plugins or solutions.

Thanks

Seems to be a good script, but on any minimally complex ngon it causes major issues.

Thanks to Mr. Carl Merrit, these help speeding things up!!

'therhino5' how complex are your n-gons? Are they Concave? images..

Anyway for odd ngons you will always end up with one triangle. Cheers

Yeah They are, I booleaned it in several places, I'm not concerned about some triangles, I just didn't want it to be entirely triangulated when there were plenty of spots for quads.

Ah well the lscript pack i pointed out will only make sense if you have convex ngons, since with concave it will divide outside outside the polygon's boundary. Maybe you could make them concave first. Cheers.
