Tina the Tiny Zucchini was part of a pitch package for Nickelodeon that never quite made it to the pilot stage that I created while at Worldwide Biggies under the direction of Producer Kari Kim.

She started as several sketches from my sketchbook and went as far as a 3d textured model. Here is the final... I'll post a few more images as well.

This was a first pass render and although it is a bit creepy, I liked the texture enough to keep this version... it's 100% procedural textures and I liked the look, but went for a more toon version as seen above.

Wanted to share the wireframes... I went a bit overboard on shoe detail but it was fun.

Cool. Shows what you can get with procedural textures. Nice clean model too.

Cute character. But, I would love to see how you got that level of texture using procedurals. It looks like a photograph of a zucchini texture.

Haha! What a great character!! I love it!
The "creepy" version is my favorit too, no doubt!
Maybe you could create a whole family of vegetables?
Congrats, my friend, very nice!

"The secret impresses no one. The trick you use it for is everything."

Here is the setup for the Zucchini texture. Extremely simple but it works great.

I actually thought it was a texture map! Nice procedurals William!

Very nice William, the texturing is very realistic (on the original), I'd have thought it was an image map. It reminds me of the Munch Bunch books I had as a kid, no doubt along similar lines of trying to get kids into healthy foods.
