View Full Version : Modeler Hangs on Boolean Subtract

I have an object that I am trying to cut a part out with another object. I understand the basics of Boolean Subtract, I do it all the time with primitives. This time I have cube type volume with some wedge shapes I am trying to cut out. Whenever I run the operation Modeler hangs and I have to quit with task manager. Anyone know why?

The only time I've ever had a boolean hang is when I had a very high polycount object I was trying to cut.

i never had a boolean operation hang my pc... but when modelling the one ring from lotr, it took my laptop a few hours to substract the text from the ring :p does it really crash or do you just think it hangs?? i thought it too with the ring, but after a few hours it DID finish the boolean substract ;)
