Hi,

Im currently trying to make a realistic flag animation, but somehow its not working like it need it.

With strong wind its nearly working, but I need the flag to be animated with only a little bit wind sometimes.

Is there a good tutorial about this or has anybody some tips or suggestions how to improve flag animations?

thanks in advance:)

proton has one on the NT ftp server , best thing to do is pin the point and run cloth fx .

if you want just add a collusion object and push and pull it threw the mesh to simulate wind ..

Yeah, Cloth Effects is the way to go. But OnlineRender is right. Got to bash it around with collision objects instead of trying to use wind. I can never get a good-looking wind-blown flag with only wind. Even many wind emitters of different types.

good way is to do your wind FX and add a fractal noise displacement in the direction of the wind applied to the flag.
You also may have to bump up polycount in order to get finer movement.
With layers of differing sized fractal you should get exactly what your looking for.
Also you can set it to world so that you can even different look.
