View Full Version : Any alternatives to Fertilizer 2

Fertilizer 2 seems broken in LW10. It doesn't remember the envelope values on scene saves/loads. The 2nd envelope option is also broken.

Its functionality isn't duplicated by any other tool that I know of. I know DP's shifter works on some things, but only with extruded geometry (rail extrude), not arbitrary shapes.

Does anyone know of another tool or a workaround for Fertilizer 2?
Going back and forth between 9 (where it still works) and 10 isn't really an option.

Thanks,

-Stephen

Well forget that. I emailed Sebastian with a bug report and he updated the plugin to work again in LW10+ and its working great on my end. Woot!

Not sure if he has put it up on his website yet. I'm attaching it here (its free anyway) and I'll take it down if he wants me to.

If you use it a lot like I do, shoot him a little "thank you" via paypal so that next time it breaks he might be inclined to update it again.

cheers!

here is where the plugin lives and where you can paypal him:

Fantastic, thanks for that Stephen (and Sebastian), I ran into the same problem a few months back but didn't get round to doing anything about it. :D

Awesome. Is this a 10 specific version or will it work with 9 as well?

backwards compatible at least to 9.6

Ah joy - great plugin but had no idea he had a 64bit version out :) Next time I use it on a project I'll donate for sure :)

Anyone know if theres a mac version in the works?

I doubt anyone would just know that spontaneously, but with some studious emailing of the original author and perhaps a nag to our favorite forum member who helps with mac conversions, I'll bet it could be done...

and then there is always the paypal motivator.

you just have to want it bad enough.
