View Full Version : multiple wind effectors and multiple particle emitters, not working

Hi There

I have a scene with 8 candle flames, each consisting of a particle emitter, rendered with HVs.

To randomise the motion of the flames, I've got 3 wind generators in the scene.

The problem is, that I can't get LW to calculate the whole lot - it doesn't matter if I pick a wind emitter, or any one of the particle emitters and click calculate - it still fails to do the lot - rather only one emitter gets calculated.

Can anybody advise what to do?

Hum.. any way you could delete everything from the scene except the particles and post it? You can even trash the hypervoxels. Then I could probably figure it out.

Check that the wind generators are set to ADD and are all in the same group as the emitters.

I'm sure you've tried those, but it's just the 1st thing that comes to mind. OH also make sure the WIND's falloff is set to "off".

I had just completed emptying my scene, ready to post, when I discovered what was going on. Specifically, only one of the emitters had any particle resistance set. So problem solved!
