View Full Version : Antialiasing with hard edges?

Hi All,

I'm trying to render assets out in isometric, which i'll then fit together later in photoshop. I need the assets to have hard edges so that they fit together/tile nicely (no antialiasing)...if i have antialiasing switched on, the edges blur slightly and won't tile nicely in photoshop.

The problem is, I want the image to be antialised but not its edges and I'm not sure if this is possible?

Hope someone can help.

Cheers

I always thought by definition that AA smooths blocky edges.

I always thought by definition that AA smooths blocky edges.

It does but AA also smooths across the whole image, not just the edges.

I found a solution actually...

In Image Filter there's a thing called 'Sprite Edger' which allows you to render with AA but keeps the edges hard.

... and use laczos reconstruction filter. That might help keeping them crisp.
