Lots of reels being posted here lately. I just cut mine as well.

Pretty much all of the 3d in my reel is Lightwave, and more and more of it is LW10.

That's an excellent piece Stephen

The pace, music everything works perfectly to prevent the reel boredom that you experience so often.

One of the coolest reel I've seen recently.

I'm not sure I like it, I don't like things that make me feel stupid, think I'll just crawl back to my cot now.

More and more I'm impressed by 2D elements, I just have no idea about them. But I do know what I like, and that stuff was first class . The 3D elements were top notch too.

It's bloody brilliant monovich, pardon my French

shrox I think vimeo can be forced into an HTML 5 player... unfortunately I'm not totally sure how.

adk - I love that track! As soon as I heard it I though "I've got to cut to this!". Some have said its not indy enough or its too played out. But c'mon! A good song is a good song.

fun fact: I rendered all that hypervoxels smoke in VPR. The normal renderer was taking forever so I though "what the heck" and just output my VPR previews. VPR is getting more and more useful the more I learn what it is good for.

I use After Effects. Gets the job done. I'm using a lot of Magic Bullet looks these days as well. Its amazing what it can do with a boring flat looking EXR.

Howlin' For You by The Black Keys.

I loved Strange Times and Tighten Up. Great voice on that fella.

My Morning Jacket are a band I was never very keen on but I think Holding onto Black Metal would be great as backing music for an animation. Quietly epic.

Well done Monovich! Impressive work. Even the short title for TF1.

OT: How do you control the particles in AE, I imagine you use (a lot) Particular for it?

I do use a lot of particular for my particles because its quicker for revisions and interactivity.

That said, sometimes LW particles are the only way to achieve the effect because they are ultimately more powerful.

thx!

Wow, great reel. I like your style... especially the camera moves. You have a good way of immersing the viewer "into" the scene. Everything feels really 3D.

Excellent design and style skills as well... a very artistic reel.

Very nice reel, love it.

How did you make it start playing browser full screen ?

monovich

I think it has to do with the way you link it.

A normal vimeo link looks like this:

http://vimeo.com/25412659

And for some reason mine copied/pasted like this:

http://player.vimeo.com/video/25412659

so I think any video that has that first part appened to the video number will play like that. kinda cool!

Impressive.....Most Impressive.

Thou..there was some bitīs I actually didnt like or should I say could be done a little differently perhaps as intro, that is the smoke in the beginning.

Other than that Top Notch.

Superb job Monovitch ! being able to manage every step of the production ( concept, model, animate, render, composit, vfx, motion graphics graphic design ) isn't a simple task and i know exactly what is it because i'm dealing with that since many years ! congratulation.
